FAQs

Q: What is Quack?

A: Quack is a blog dedicated to the Australian telecommunications billing industry set up by David Werdiger, the Managing Director of Billing Bureau .

Q: Why is this site called Quack?

A: Because it’s all about the bill! That and the fact that it allowed us both the scope and the opportunity to get away with a lot of bad duck puns. After all you are using the World Wide Webbed to check out this blog!

Q: Why did you set up Quack?

A: To provide a place on the web for information, resources and open discussion about the Australian telecommunications billing industry.

Q: Who are the contributors to Quack?

A: In the main, the Quack contributors are the MD and senior staff of Billing Bureau, although we may occasionally invite other people to write guest pieces.

Q: Are the comments moderated?

A: While any comments may be posted the blog is moderated in the sense that we will be checking the site and removing any inappropriate material. While we would like this to be an open forum for comment we also need to balance this with the need and the obligation to protect the rights and interests of all members of the Australian telco industry. For this reason we moderate comments to avoid the publication of comments that are defamatory, overly personal, etc. We will open up a whole can of Quack Fu on anyone found beaking the rules.

For a list of content that is considered inappropriate, see below. However, in the interests of having a forum for open discussion, content will not be removed purely for being in disagreement with the views of the moderator or Billing Bureau.

Q: What is your policy on moderating comments?

A: Our policy is to moderate as little as possible and as quickly as possible to allow the most free discussion possible while maintaining limits to ensure no inappropriate content is posted on the site. In the interests of having a forum for open discussion, content will not be removed purely for being in disagreement with the views of the moderator or Billing Bureau. For a list of content that is considered inappropriate, see below.

Q: How often do you moderate the site?

A: We will aim to check the site 2 or 3 times per day and remove any inappropriate content - however if you see anything you believe to be inappropriate please let us know.

Q: Do you know any good duck recipes?

A: Yes we do! Our favourites are listed on this site. If you would like to share your favourite duck recipes with us, please email us and we will add to the list. Just remember: a duck is for life, not just for dinner.

Q: I have a question that hasn’t been answered here.

A: If you have a question for Quack that has not been answered here, please email us and we will see what we can do.
